Happy New Year!

Hello there crafters!
I'm awfully sorry for not posting for quite some time but, as you know, life is always horrendously busy here and spare time very limited, unfortunately! :( Anyway, I just wanted to share one last project for this year: some super cute mailboxes which I made for Christmas and filled with lots of chocolate goodies (mainly Ferrero Rochers, my all-time favourites!). The mailboxes are cut out with a Sizzix die - as soon as I saw it, I knew I had to have it! It was a bit expensive but I know I'll be using it a lot, as that kind of box can be used for just about any occasion. Just change the designer paper you cover it with et voilà, you're good to go. Of course you can decorate it as much as you like. I kept my Christmas ones pretty simply  mainly because of lack of time. I just added a poinsettia dimentional flower I created with my Spellbinders poinsettia dies and that was it.

I wish you all a wonderful and creative 2015 - hope I'll have more time for my crafting and blogging actvities in the New Year!! :D

Vittoria

Cute cracker

Hello there crafters!
Finding some spare time to spend in my craft room seems an impossible task these days, ugh! I haven't yet started with my Christmas stamping and it's already the end of October!! It was very windy the past few days and therefore I've just finished picking up leaves in the garden - one of the cons of autumn, I suppose! Anyway, I just wanted to share a quick and easy 3D project I put together the other week. It's a cracker I made with my envelope punch board - love that tool, it's surely one of my favourites (not only for envelopes) and worth every penny I paid for it. Some pretty and sparkly designer paper, a sentiment stamp, a couple of oval Spellbinders dies et voilà, an original packaging for some Ferrero Rocher I wanted to give away. Those chocolates are already delicious, but such an unconventional packaging made them even more special and they were very appreciated by the recipient, you bet! :D

I'm working on a funny birthday card and that's the next thing I want to share with you ... hopefully soon! Take care and have a lovely Sunday.

Another quick birthday card

Hello there crafters,
I hope you had a great weekend, if not weather-wise at least from a crafty point of view!! :D
I have another card to share with you today. It's a quick card I whipped up one evening by simply layering different Spellbinders die cuts. Such cards have become really popular and there are many gorgeous ones on Pinterest to get inspiration from. I added a little bit of stamping and embossing power, some ribbon and a tiny rose et voilà, the card was ready. My only regret is that the embossing power didn't  exactly match the colour of the cardstock as it was a little bit lighter. I didn't even notice that at night when I was putting the card together, I discovered that the morning after, ugh!
Thanks for stopping by and a happy beginning of week to you all.

Japanese card

Hello there crafters!
I'm finally enjoying my summer holidays and this means ... a bit extra time to spend in my craft room, whoopee!! Time spent there is always too little, though!
I have a card to share with you today - it's a card definitely with an Asian feel. I made it for the birthday of a friend who's much into Japan and its culture, therefore these Graphic45 papers were absolutely perfect for the purpose. The collection is called "Birdsong" and believe me, those papers are absolutely beautiful! The photo is a bit shiny and it's not doing those gorgeous papers justice.
I wanted the greeting "Happy birthday" to be in Japanese, too, so I resorted to Google translator hoping it wouldn't fail! :D
So no stamping at all on this card for a change, but I do like how it turned out.
Thank you for stopping by and enjoy this crazy summer - it's pouring again here!

Teacher gift set

Hello there crafters!
A couple of weeks ago a dear friend of mine  asked me to create a gift set for the 2 teachers of her son. I recently got a lovely month rubber stamp set in a crafting magazine I regularly buy and therefore thought I would put it to good use at once. So I put together a cute birthday book with 12 pages, one for each month, where teachers can jot down the birthdates of their pupils if they like. The pages are made out of small envelope which I stamped with a swirly background stamps, while the cover was made out of a cereal box which I covered with some floral designer paper. I poked holes in all the layers with my Big Bite (love that tool!) and bound the book with some ribbon. The inside cards where made with white cardstock and the corner were punched with my envelope punch board so as to look like file folders.
I'm really happy how the set turned out. Unfortunately I finished late and had no time to further decorate the front of the book. I just added a silver charm to the ribbon and called it good.
I obviously made a matching card to go with the book and I decided to keep it simple as it was already late at night and I was running out of time.

Thanks for stopping by and have a lovely beginning of week! :D

Cute bags

Hello there crafters!
I hope you had a great Easter weekend.
I have another project to share with you today - some treat bags I made last month for Women's Day on 8th March. I found a great tutorial on YouTube and decided to give it a try, although with some changes. I wanted a nice packging to hold some yummy chocolate I had bought for my female co-workers. The bag is entirely made with different Spellbinders dies - love the pink and black combination!! I made a total of 8 bags and their recipients loved them! Useless to say I had so much fun creating those! I had just purchased this cute buckle die and had to use it straight away!

Thanks for stopping by. Have a nice weekend you all!

Matchbox chest

Hello there crafters,
I hope you all had a nice and pleasant Easter time with your family and friends.
I didn't have much time for crafting the past few months but I've managed to complete a cute Easter project which has been on my mind for quite a while.
A few months back I bought a lovely matchbox die from Sizzix and decided to use it to put together a chest. I found a good tutorial on YouTube which was made with a similar Sizzix die and I managed to put 2 chests together. I used some gorgeous Prima papers to cover the chests, and on the top I added a metal handle from which I've hung a tassel, a key and a number tag. I had so much fun creating those chests, believe me! In each of the 4 drawers I put a small bag with chocolate Easter eggs for the recipient. the handle of the drawers were made with some drop pearls attached with a tiny brad. For the feet of the chest I used 4 round wooden pieces which I painted black. don't you just love the result?

Thanks a lot for visiting and if you have any question, just ask! :D

Cute snowbird

Hello there crafters,
I have a birthday card to share with you today. I created it back in January for my dear Austrian friend Tina. Her birthday was yesterday, so I can now share the card here on my blog. For the focal image I used a lovely Stampendous snowbird stamp - as soon as I saw it I knew I had to have it, too cute!! Besides cardstock and designer paper, for this card I used cheese cloth (which I dyed with Walnut Stain ink), a cage die cut, ribbon, a birdhouse charm and a soft brown feather from my stash. The script embossing folder used is from Cuttlebug. The image was coloured, as usual, with Copics and I added Glossy Accents to the berries and glitter to the snow for some shine. The tiny sentiment tags are from Lily of the Valley. I'm truly happy how the card turned out, love those warm earthy colours, among my favourites indeed!!

Have a nice week, filled with lots of crafting and creative activities! :D

Hugs,
Vittoria

Birthday card

Hello there crafters!
It's a grey, rainy day here today (it's been all week) and therefore a perfect day to spend in the craft room, right? :D I have a vintage birthday card to share with you today. I bought the Spellbinders die Gold Elements One some weeks ago and decided to put it to good use for this card. I can never have too many Spellbinders dies, love them all!! I used a vintage digital paper for the background and stamped and embossed the sentiment in the middle. The sentiment then got framed with the Twisted Tags Spellbinders die. Tiny pearls and flower are from my stash. I made a double bow and a matching pink headpin to go with the card.

Thanks for visiting. Have a nice Sunday!!

Happy New Year!

Hello everyone,
and happy New Year to all of you. I hope 2014 is a healthy and superb year for everybody and, why not, fully packed with lots of craft activities.
I have another of my 3-D Christmas projects to share with you. It's a simple square box which I decorated with Spellbinders dies, that is Fleur de Lis squares. The poinsettia die was used to cut and build the flower on the top of the box. The box came together pretty quickly and it's a good size box for chocolate or other treats, so I'll use it again in different colours.

Have a nice and relaxing day you all and thanks for stopping by! :D
